Nice. Ninku was really good, at least by the old battle shounen standard. Its anime adaptation was a treat to plough through. I wonder how they will manage to weld both worlds together, though. Despite their vast similarities, both went in two different directions in terms of world building. Also, reactions to how much of Ninku you can find in Naruto from people who haven't heard of the former are gonna be interesting to see.

Being a pretty big Naruto fan, and having an okay knowledge of old school anime currently 31, never heard of this anime before.

But just watching a few clips from the show, it's pretty obvious that there's a lot of influence that Ninku had on Naruto, so it seems worth checking out for the history. I can't get over how ugly the main character looks straight looks like a frog. I can see why Naruto got a lot more popular for the aesthetically pleasing character design

I get that Ninkuu is what inspired Kishimoto to make Naruto and thats great, but its still super weird that they bothered to announce this at New York Comic Con when the majority of the west has never heard of Ninkuu and never had access to it in manga or anime form
